Um estudante, identificado como Douglas Igor Marques Luiz, 19 anos, foi baleado no abdome, nas pedras do Arpoador, no início da madrugada desta segunda-feira, após participar da 15ª edição da Parada do Orgulho LGBT, no domingo, na orla de Copacabana, zona sul do Rio. O jovem e a família dele acusam um militar do Exército, pertencente ao Forte de Copacabana, de agressão, discriminação e de ter efetuado o disparo. A família teme sofrer represálias.
De acordo com a mãe de Douglas, a estudante de Direito Viviane, 37 anos, o filho, que é estudante do 3º ano do ensino médio, tinha saído da Parada Gay e seguido para as pedras do Arpoador com um grupo de amigos. O local é conhecido como ponto de encontro de homossexuais e estava lotado. Três militares fardados, do Forte de Copacabana, que fica ao lado, teriam chegado ao local pressionando os frequentadores a sair, mas Douglas teria sido segurado por eles.
Ainda segundo Viviane, o filho contou que os militares pediram a identidade dele e o telefone da família. Após cumprir as exigências, ele disse que os militares perguntaram se seus pais sabiam de sua presença no local e que seria homossexual. O estudante teria respondido que a mãe sabia que ele é homossexual, o que teria irritado os militares. Em seguida, o jovem teria sido agredido com um soco no rosto por um deles e depois atingido com um tiro de pistola na barriga.
"O meu sentimento é de indignação com esse preconceito idiota. Sou estudante de Direito e para mim esse tipo de coisa é difícil de aceitar", disse Viviane. Ela afirmou ainda que vai levar o caso à diante. O Exército ainda não se pronunciou sobre o caso.
À Polícia Civil, o estudante informou que estava namorando com outro rapaz quando militares começaram a ameaçar levá-los presos, junto com outras pessoas que também estavam namorando no local.
Douglas foi levado por policiais do 23º BPM (Leblon) para o Hospital Miguel Couto (HMC), na Gávea. O tiro perfurou lateralmente o abdômen do jovem. O estado de saúde dele é considerado regular e não há risco de vida. A família está tentando a transferência do jovem para um hospital particular.

A Polícia Civil solicitou ao Comando Militar do Leste uma lista contendo todos os militares que estavam em serviço na noite de domingo. O objetivo é identificar quem baleou o jovem Douglas.

O caso está sendo investigado pela 14ª DP (Leblon). Douglas deve prestar depoimento nos próximos dias.
A 15ª Parada do Orgulho LGBT, que reuniu cerca de 250 mil pessoas na orla de Copacabana, segundo a Polícia Militar, teve como tema este ano a criminalização da homofobia . Na semana passada, um canal americano voltado para o público LGBT elegeu o Rio de Janeiro como o destino mais sexy do mundo.
