After so many years of lead in the military dictatorship, I come to the conclusion that our democracy is becoming increasingly fragile on account of the advance of a conservative ideology, which advocates torture, rape, and hatred against women and sexual minorities and culture. Within this climate of hatred, the population suffers from the frightening rise in unemployment, and the cost of living. As if this gloomy scenario was not enough, every 19 hours in Brazil an LGBTI person is executed because of hatred and intolerance.
It is known that Brazil continues to stand out in the world as the country where people are killed because of their sexual orientation, followed by Iran, Iraq and Zimbabwe (countries ruled by religious fanatics). However, we can not deny some advances in law, such as in 2011 in landmark decision the FST recognizes the stable union for same-sex couples, and creates unprecedented jurisprudence pressing the Brazilian legislature to break the silence on the homoaffective demands, in May 14, 2013 Resolution 175 of the National Council of Justice that obliges the Notaries to hold the marriage ceremony on equal terms to homosexual couples, based on the principles of liberty, equality and promotion of the good of all without prejudice of origin, race , sex, color, and any form of discrimination, provided for in the Federal Constitution of 1988. Although the Brazilian judiciary recognizes the right to homosexual marriage, national legislation is unchanged.
Brazil "to see English" is liberal and treats everyone with respect. Sexual liberation is a farce, because we live in a hypocritical society that is not liberal. This "release falls to the ground when it comes time for schools to talk about sexual diversity, religious intolerance, racism and so on. "LGBTI + people can even do their events, as long as they are away from my house," "I love gay friends they are funny, but I would not want to have one of them in my family" and so on, this is more or less the kind of sexual liberation one has in Brazil.
Michael Foucault told her that The more people talk about sex, the less freedom one has "and more" one way of not practicing sexuality is to allow one to talk about it.
Regrettably society is regressing in stride. She reads less, fights less for her rights and has become more aggressive and segregating with people who are different, and who are not framed in social heteronormative. Brazil needs to learn to respect the sexual and cultural diversity of hundreds of citizens.
. The school needs to be attentive to this need and not close to this agenda so contemporary and indispensable. While retrograde sectors are moving in the opposite direction of history, as it is today, with emphasis on the "nonpartisan school". I am a hopeful human being, I believe that one day that sea of people who currently go to the LGBTI stations may one day leave the naive / non-critical stage of consciousness, and awaken to a critical conscience, failing to bear the guilty feeling they have imposed on them long before their birth, will combat the feeling of guilt and inferiority, as well as a critical and political conscience. You will understand that it is not enough to go to the streets only on days of rest, which must ally with other segments of society; Trade unions, black movements, women, students, among others and build a policy that can contemplate their demands. They need to believe that the electoral process does not end their oppression. In the electoral period, every political is against racism, against religious intolerance, against lgbti + phobia. We met some parliamentarians who called themselves allies in the fight against intolerance, but never employed a Negro, a. Lgbti +, thus leaving all discourse of solidarity to the oppressed in rhetoric.
The lowland of Rio de Janeiro continues to be a dangerous place for LGBTI + communities and for African-based religion practitioners, because in this region these social segments are being victims of various crimes, without their executioners being punished exemplarily. Of the 13 municipalities that make up this region, we have only three points of support, a reference center in Duque de Caxias, another being formed in the city of Queimados, and in Mesquita a coordinating sexual diversity. Meanwhile the other Municipalities continue to be complicit in crimes involving LGBTS, because they are silent and do not implant, a public policy to confront this cruel reality.
Lack of political will, lack of love. LGBTI + people are lacking in addition to those who are on the streets fighting against an enemy government of the population and lackey of a dominant minority.
Sexual diversity is a topic that needs to be on the agenda every day.
