The Social Communication Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic also states that the image is fake. In addition to not being from the secretariat, no photos of Lula were taken at the hospital.
Lula underwent emergency surgery in the early hours of Tuesday (10) at the Sírio-Libanês Hospital in São Paulo to drain a hematoma on his head - still a result of the fall he suffered in the bathroom at home in October.
A medical report released on Wednesday (11) states that he is "lucid, oriented and spent the night well". He will remain with the drain in the surgery site while awaiting new routine exams.
Shortly after the surgery, the doctors said that he will not suffer any after-effects, and his neurological functions are preserved.
According to the medical team, the president is expected to return to Brasília early next week. By doctor's order, Lula is prohibited from receiving work visitors at the hospital until he is fully recovered.
